Tele Medicine
Lord Swinfen, Founder of the Swinfen Trust addressed the annual
conference of Rotary District 1120 at the end of October 2007 on the
subject of Tele Medicine.. His audience was delighted to hear his
speech and most interested as to how a digital camera and E mail
could be used to diagnose, treat and even save a life.
We invite Fellowship members to participate as a Specialist in the
Panel, or their recommended Hospital as a recipient. Correspondence
by E-mail is controlled by the Trust and patient confidentiality
maintained. Currently there are about 170 specialists and over 100
Hospitals working through the network. This surely reflects Medicine
in the 21st century! Details are available on the web site (www.swinfencharitabletrust.com). Are you interested? If so,please contact us.

International Fellowship of Rotarian Physicians
Rotarian Physicians and MHN Team Up
Over the past several years Men's Health Network has developed a close relationship with The International Fellowship of Rotarian Physicians, provides a way for Rotarians to become more involved in the organization beyond their own local club. Based in the UK, the organization was created to bring together like minded doctors, nurses, and health care workers who share a vision for supporting and promoting global health improvement, enthusiasm for working through volunteering, and a strong commitment to support local and international health care initiatives.
MHN has been heavily involved in the annual Rotary International Conferences since 2001 by setting up exhibits and making resources readily available to Rotarians through health screenings, health educators, and distribution of educational materials.
The help we received from MHN in 2007 was greatly appreciated, and
both our organizations gained enormous publicity from over 300
visitors to the IFRP booth. To learn more about the Convention or to

The two organizations have also worked together to co-brand educational brochures about prostate issues including a brief description of the prostate and prostate cancer, risk factors, and treatment options. Additionally, MHN has worked to enrich the Rotarian Physician's website in order to better serve and educate site visitors.
